It’s funny how the people closest to us often reject any help or advice we give them.

Perfect example:

A friend of mine got a boxer puppy and wanted to go for a walk on the beach. The whole time we were walking he was telling me how he was going to train his pup and what an awesome dog he was going to be.

I smiled and said, “That’s great.”

I was happy to see how excited he was. I asked him if he was coming to a puppy class.

“Naw, I don’t need to do that with him,” he said.

“Uh oh,” I thought to myself. I said, “You don’t have to come to one of my classes there are some other good trainers in the area that have good puppy classes that you could go to.”

He shook his head and said he didn’t need to. I shrugged my shoulders and said okay but wanted to say to him what I say to every new puppy owner. One of the best investments you can ever make with a puppy is a good, positive puppy class.

A few minutes later when we were ready to leave I watched as he made a HUGE mistake with his new pup.

His pup was running around the beach having a great time. My friend called his pup to him and made the big mistake.

He put his pup on leash.

He had just UNintentionally punished his pup for coming when called. A sometime fatal mistake.

You see, by calling his pup away from his fun and putting the leash his pup will learn to go in the other direction when he hears the word “Come.”

Intentional and UNintentional punishment have the same effect. It’s a lot like gravity. You can jump or trip off your roof and it will always have the same effect.

Sometimes we don’t get the results we want from training because of things we are not even aware of.

Which is why I developed the Ultimate Online Recall Course which is designed to help you avoid possible training mistakes and show you how to get the best results every time you call your dog to you.

It’s a step by step system and you can see it for yourself by going here NEXT:
